TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Highways 1 and 46 Access Temporary Closure

TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Highways 1 and 46 Access Temporary Closure

In order to minimize long-term traffic restrictions and impact to local traffic and to be efficient as possible with repaving, Regina Bypass will need to temporarily close access from Highway 46 to Highway 1.

The temporary closure is targeted for Sunday, August 14, pending weather. The closure will occur for two hours from 3 a.m. to 5 a.m. This construction activity will allow Regina Bypass to complete paving on the north side of the Highway 46 and Highway 1 intersection.

While work is being done between 3 a.m. to 5 a.m., all heavy vehicle travel, except trucks with a local destination between Pilot Butte Access and Highway 364, will be flagged and rerouted to the Highway 1 via the Pilot Butte Access Road.

The only restriction for passenger vehicles will be on Highway 46 between Highway 364 and Highway 1. They will be able to continue to drive east on Highway 46 to this closure point.

Remember to please slow to 60 km an hour when travelling through construction zones. Our Regina Bypass team appreciates your patience and understanding during this short temporary closure.
