Regina Bypass Assists in Lentil Donation to Regina Food Bank
Soup for You!
Regina Bypass, Dream Development (Dream), Simpson Seeds and local farmers Doug and Colleen Harle donated 19,800 pounds of lentils to the Regina Food Bank on Thursday, July 13.
Simpson Seeds provided services in-kind to clean, bag, palletize and shrink wrap the lentils for the drop-off. Regina Bypass team members, led by Barry Reid, Land Manager, helped to deliver the Lentils from Moose Jaw.
According to the Regina Food Bank, the lentils will be used over the coming months to make more than 158,000 servings of hearty soups and nutritious meals prepared by their dedicated volunteers.
Dream and Regina Bypass, who both own land in Regina’s northwest end, work closely with the Harle family as its farming partner to continue cultivating crops on the land.
Regina Bypass is very proud to be part of the community and work with Dream and the Harle family to donate a portion of the lentil crop back to the Regina Food Bank.
Regina Bypass is committed to helping improve the quality of life in Regina.
This notable donation will contribute to the Regina Food Bank’s mission to fight hunger.
